Usually people around me would take all my attention but here it was only me and instructor and I could really commit to what I was doing.

LEVEL 1 - Discovery course
Discover how to master the wind power

Discover the sport and learn how to master the wind. We will introduce you to various aspects of the sport, and teach you how to hone various skills on land before performing on water all the while learning the safety rules. We will make you learn how to keep safe by showing you how to assess the wind and physical location; use the safety systems; manage proper equipment; set-up; and control the trainer kite.

LEVEL 2 - Intermediate course
Learn to harness the power of your kite in water

Get ready to get wet. It's time for your first water start. Get ready to explore the full potential of the wind power. You’ll learn to: use the kite power to body drag in all possible directions, water relaunch your kite, self rescue, recover your board; and become proficient at the MOST VALUABLE SKILL IN KITEBOARDING … riding on your own!

LEVEL 3 - Independent course
Ride independently and learn the first jump

The more you learn the most pleasure you will have. It's time to become an independent rider! Your IKO Instructor will show you how to ride upwind, toe-side, attempt your first jump, and help you focus on advanced skills like controlling your speed by edging, changing direction without stopping, self-launching and self-landing safely. I was always afraid being pulled by the kite on the beach or somebody being pulled towards me and here, all of this was not an isuue anymore still being close to the catamaran, enjoying the privacy.
I didn't even wear boots as there were no danger of hitting anything under the water ass well!

The lift from the motor boat instead of walking back up wind meant everything at the time!

What kind of kite lessons programs do you offer?
We offer standard IKO lessons of Level 1, 2 and 3.  From inside this content we can perform: “Discovery course – Level 1” which is in fact introduction course,  “Intermediate course – Level 2” where the most important lessons are obtained and finally “Independent course” which is the most rewarding of them all. People that have already had lessons and would like to build more confidence, can take hourly lessons with gear included. Tips and suggestions from our kite instructor are included in the cruise price.

How many students/participants are taking lessons at the same time?
Usually our IKO kite lessons are private which means one participant is taking lessons from one IKO instructor. In case there are two (max) students per one instructor the course duration is prolonged from 2 hours to 3 hours, from 6 hours to 9 hours and so on within the same buget.

Do I need to pre-book IKO kite lessons?
It is recommended to pre-book kite lessons when such interest exist to make sure that kite instructor and kite gear are available. Further we want to be sure instructor is not over-booked as only one (max two) people can take lessons at same time.

Where do the lessons take place?
The lessons locations depend on the destination and kiteboarding cruise itinerary and on the lessons content as well. We would choose either the beach that is not too crowded or we would start lessons from the catamaran having motorboat with extra assistant at our disposal. In this case we are still close to the shore minimizing the risk of collisions with other kiters as well bruising or stepping-on possible underwater obstacles.

Can I use my own equipment during kite lessons?
Yes, it is possible. Also, it makes a lot of sense learning with equipment you would use in the future. When using your own equipment we discount the lessons price for 20%. Please, notify us about using your equipment at the time of arranging the lessons.

Is it possible to buy equipment that we use at the kiteboarding course?
Buying used equipment from your kite lessons at special price is sometimes possible, especially if you inform us about your intentions in advance. It is also possible to order NEW equipment at special price that awaits you onboard at your arrival, different brands are available.
